3 contractors shot at in Odisha’s Kendrapara  

Kendrapara: Three contractors were injured, including two critically, after unidentified miscreants opened fire at them near Kalapada bridge under Sadar police limits in Kendrapara district last night.

Sources said the trio-Binod Sahu of Barei village, Rajesh Muduli of Bachharei and Ranjan Bhuyan of Kajala village were going to Bachharei village on a bike late last night. Three miscreants came on a bike and fired around four rounds of bullets at them. As the three contractors fell off the bike, the miscreants fled the spot.

Locals rescued the three contractors and rushed them to Kendrapara district headquarters hospital (DHH). Later, Binod and Rajesh were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital after their condition deteriorated.

Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
