Cuttack: Following detection of several COVID-19 cases, the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) has declared the Civil Court Complex as micro containment zone to curb further spread of the virus.
As 39 COVID-19 cases have been detected in Civil Court Complex, the CMC sealed the complex that houses the courts of Cuttack Civil Judge, District and Sessions Judge, Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) and the Bar Association office, restricting public from entering the office premises.
Active contact tracing will be carried out during the sealing period.
Earlier on January 12, the Orissa High Court suspended its operations for five days till January 17 after several staff were found positive for the virus.
The Court had further said that it will function with two Division Benches and seven Single Benches to take up only exceptionally urgent cases from January 18 to February 4, 2022.
