3 critically injured after two cars collide head-on in Odisha’s Ganjam

Dharakote: In a freak road mishap, three persons including a 3-year-old child sustained grievous injuries as the car in which they were travelling had a head-on collision with another car today at Janibili Chhak under Dharakote police limits in Ganjam district.

The two injured adults were identified as P Sugyani Rao and P Bulu Rao from one family and the child was identified as Sai Prateek Sabat from another family of Geetanjali Sabat.

According to a source, a car bearing registration number OD-07 R-4142 collided with another car having registration number OD-02 CE-3148. The Rao family was on its way from Berhampur to Sorada and the Sabat family was going from Sorada to Aska when they met with an accident.

The reason behind the accident has not been ascertained yet, a senior cop of Dharakote PS said.

On being informed, police reached the spot, and detained the cars and initiated a probe.

Sai Prateek was admitted to a hospital in Dharakote in critical condition and the two others were taken to a health facility in Aska for medical treatment, the police official informed.
