3-day ISM-2014 begins today at NIT, Rourkela

The Students Activity Centre of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, Odisha is organising the 2nd International Students Meet (ISM) at the Bhubaneswar Behera Auditorium today.

The mega event will continue till March 9.

The meet is aimed at glorifying India’s rich heritage and preserving its sacred beauty for future generations. More than 100 participants from Germany, Sri Lanka, Mozambique, Bhutan, USA, Thailand, Mauritius, Nepal, Bangladesh and other countries will be participating in the program representing different civilizations and lifestyles, said RK Sinha, Secretary, Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the institute through a press release.

ISM-2014 will serve as a platform for students from both sides to learn from each other and enhance their knowledge in diversified spheres, Sinha said.

“Besides foreign students, we are expecting more than 1000 participants from IITs, NITs, Engineering, Medical, Science, Management and Arts colleges from different parts of our country. Sonu Nigam, famous Bollywood singer will be performing on 8th evening in Celebrity Night in the Dilip Tirkey Stadium of the Institute,” he added.

During the three-day event, a mix of games and sports, art, culture, music, drama, dance, technical and other events such as Business Games, Fashion Show, Robotic Show and many more eye-catching events will be staged.
