3 docs injured as fan falls off in Odisha medical college

At least three students of Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Medical College and Hospital in the Western Odisha town of Burla sustained injuries when a ceiling fan came crashing down in a doctors’ duty room today.

As per reports, a ceiling fan at the doctors’ duty room in the Gynaecology department fell off hurting at least three students.

Protesting against the poor maintenance and hazardous working conditions, the students have gone on a strike which is likely to affect health services in the western Odisha town.
