3 minor girls found dead in pond in Odisha’s Koraput

Koraput: As many as three minor girls were found dead in a pond at Debaganj village under Lamtaput police limits in Odisha’s Koraput district today.

According to reports, the three girls had gone out of their houses for plucking guavas yesterday. As they didn’t return home, their family members searched for the girls at various places in the locality but in vain.

A missing complaint was lodged in this regard at the Nandapur police station.

Locals spotted footwears floating in the pond today and informed the kin of the trio. Later, Fire personnel reached the village and fished out the bodies from the pond.

A pall of gloom descended on the village after the tragic incident.
