3 miscreants brandish sword, attack employees at petrol pump in State Capital

Bhubaneswar: A few employees working at Kalpana Chhak petrol pump here sustained injuries today as three unidentified miscreants attacked the fuel-filling men with a sword and other sharp weapons.

However, the miscreants were overpowered by other employees present in the petrol pump and later were handed over to local police. They all belong to Satya Nagar locality of the State Capital.

A source said that after filling the fuel in their motorcycle, the accused did not pay the due amount. When the pump employees demanded the money, all of a sudden, the trio started attacking.

The incident triggered a hue and cry in the filling station. Some other commuters, who had come to fill fuel, ran here and there. Later, the injured were rushed to Capital Hospital in critical condition.

A police team has been interrogating the accused trio.
