3 Odisha Congress leaders in star campaigners’ list for Chhattisgarh polls

Bhubaneswar: Three Congress leaders from Odisha have been included in the list of 40 star campaigners of the party for Assembly elections in neighbouring Chhattisgarh.

Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Sarat Pattanayak, senior leader Bhakta Charan Das and Koraput MP Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka have been included in the list of Congress star campaigners for Chhattisgarh.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge, former presidents Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, his deputy TS Singh Deo, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu among others included in the list.

Notably, Chhattisgarh will go to polls in two phases in November this year.

The polling for 20 Assembly seats will take place on November 7. The remaining 70 seats will go to polls on November 17. The counting of votes will be done on December 3.
