3 Odisha teachers suspended over OTET question paper leak allegation

Deogarh: Taking disciplinary action over alleged question paper leak in the OTET-2021 Examination at a state-run high school in Deogarh, the District Education Officer (DEO) suspended three teachers including an examination invigilator for dereliction in their duty.

The three teachers were Biswanath Kisan, who was the exam invigilator, Sushant Ray and Ranjita Mishra.

The question paper leak allegation was reported from the examination centre at Deogarh Government Girls’ High School on Friday.

According to reports, the ‘D’ set question paper was leaked during the first sitting of Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET)-2021 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on Friday.

A female candidate was also booked on charges of clicking photographs of the question paper and her mobile phone was seized for necessary action.

Around 1,25,880 candidates had appeared in the OTET-2021 at 491 examination centres across Odisha on April 9 with strict adherence to the COVID-19 protocols.
