Bhubaneswar: Despite rainfall activities being witnessed at some places in Odisha, at least three places in the State sizzled due to maximum (day) temperatures at 45 Degrees Celsius or above, today.

Boudh town recorded the highest maximum temperature at 45.9 Degrees Celsius, followed by Sonepur (45.3), and Titilagarh (45.0).

Other places that recorded the maximum temperatures at 40.0 Degrees Celsius or above are Jharsuguda (44.8), Sambalpur (44.6), Bolangir (44.5), Bhawanipatna (44.0), Hirakud (43.6), Phulbani (43.3), Nuapada (43.0), Talcher, and Bargarh each (42.2), Malkangiri, and Sundargarh each (41.6), Paralakhemundi (41.5), Angul (41.1) and Nayagarh (40.3).

The highest maximum temperature of 42.2°C was recorded yesterday at Jharsuguda and the lowest minimum temperature of 25.0°C was recorded at Chhatrapur and Boudh in the plains of Odisha.

Temperature Forecast: Maximum temperature is likely to rise by 2°C to 4°C during the next three days and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha.
