3 students washed away in canal in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: Three students were washed away while taking bath in a canal in Jagatpur area of Cuttack district today.

Of three, while two have been rescued from the canal, one is still missing.

According to reports, three students from Nanakara village had been to the Kendrapara canal in the morning. While the trio was taking bath in the canal, they were swept away in the strong currents of water.

On receiving information, the fire and ODRAF teams reached the spot and managed to fish out two students from the water. The search operation is underway to trace the third one in the canal.
