3 truck drivers burnt alive in road accident in Odisha’s Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: In a tragic incident, as many as three truck drivers were burnt to death in a severe road accident near Sadar Police Station on State Highway-10 in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district, late last night.

According to reports, the three trucks collided with each other following which the vehicles caught fire owing to electrical short circuit.

Unfortunately, the three drivers couldn’t come out of the trucks and were charred alive.

On being informed, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

The identities of the deceased were yet to be established, till last reports came in.

The three damaged trucks were shifted to roadside with the help of crane, this morning.

Police have recovered the charred bodies and started an investigation into the incident.

It is being suspected that reckless driving on the part of the drivers led to the accident.
