3 women jatra artistes killed, 4 critical in road mishap in Odisha’s Kendrapara

Kendrapara: In an extremely tragic mishap, three persons were killed while four were critically injured after the vehicle they were travelling in rammed into a tree near Ostapur in Odisha’s Kendrapara district here today.

The identities of the deceased and injured victims are yet to be established. As per reports, all three of the deceased were women jatra artistes and part of a troupe.

Sources said the SUV carrying the artistes lost balance and rammed into a tree while returning from Narayanpur to Kendrapara after a cultural event.

The four injured victims have been rushed to Kendrapara district headquarters hospital and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after their condition deteriorated.
