3 youths suspected to have fallen off bridge following accident in Odisha’s Subarnapur

Sonepur: Three youths went missing as they are suspected to have fallen off a bridge on Tel river in Subarnapur district, after meeting with an accident today evening.

The youths were identified as Satyaraj Hans, Barun Salma, and Ashokraj Hans from Damamunda village of Boudh district.

According to a source, the youths were on their way from Sonepur to Manamunda in the district when they met with an accident. A speeding car hit the two-wheeler on which they were travelling. They had a head-on collision in the road mishap.

“We suspect that the youths might have fallen into the river,” some locals expressed.

The driver of the car fled from the spot soon after the road mishap.

A frantic search was launched by some locals but the youths were not traced out till the time when this report was filed.

Meanwhile, one of the youths has been spotted lying injured on the bridge. He was rushed to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Sonepur for treatment in critical condition.

Two others who had fallen into the river have been rescued and admitted to the DHH.
