30 cases registered against lockdown violators in Mayurbhanj

Baripada: As many as 30 cases were registered today at different police stations of Mayurbhanj district for violation of guidelines and regulations of nationwide lockdown.

During the police patrolling which began at 7 am today 42 lockdown violators were arrested on the first day of the nationwide lockdown. Later they were released on bail, said a police official. Also, 35 vehicles were seized from the possession of violator, informed Mayurbhanj SP Smith P. Paramar.

Police patrolling has been intensified after sealing 15 areas of the district bordering with Jharkhand and West Bengal.

Residents of the district are not facing any issues as shops selling essential items are open, he added.
