30 students of Odisha varsity injured after picnic bus overturns

Berhampur: At least 30 students of Ravenshaw University sustained injuries when a picnic bus carrying them overturned at Taptapani Ghati in Ganjam district this evening.

As per reports, 59 students of the university were returning to Cuttack in a bus from Gonda Hati in Gajapati district after picnicking. However, driver of the bus lost control near Hanuman mandir in Taptapani Ghati. Following this, the bus kidded off the road and turned turtle.

Hearing screams for help, locals reached the spot and rescued the injured. After receiving information, Digapahandi Fire Service personnel also joined the rescue work. The injured were admitted to the Digapahandi hospital.

Driver of the bus is absconding following the incident.
