31 obscene videos went viral in three months: Odisha CM

Bhubaneswar:  At least 31 “objectionable videos” have been made viral on various social media platforms in Odisha in the past three months, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik told the Assembly today.

Patnaik, while replying a written question of Congress MLA Bhujabal Majhi, said 124 cybercrime cases have been registered in different police stations of the state during this period and 19 people have been arrested in connection with these cases so far.

Concerned over the disturbing trend, the Odisha Police has recently issued an advisory to generate awareness on the safe use of Internet among people, especially the youths.

Earlier in the month, an obscene video clip featuring a reality television show winner went viral on social media putting the cops on their toes.
