33 students of 2 Ashram schools in Nuapada test COVID-19 positive

Nuapada: As many as 33 students of two Ashram schools in Khadial block of Nuapada district have reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

As per the reports, 22 students of Kaunya Bal Niketan at Gadramunda have contracted the virus . All of them are aged between seven and 18 years. Similarly, 11 students of Nava Prabhat Ashram School aged between five and 11 years have been found infected with the virus.  All the infectees have been kept under isolation separately inside the premises of the Ashrams.

Collector Swadha Dev Singh said special arrangements have been made to provide treatment to the children.  Sanitization drive has also been carried out at the two schools to break the chain of the virus transmission.

Nuapada district, which has been categorized under Red Zone in the second wave of the pandemic, today reported  204 positive cases.
