Bhubaneswar: As many as 3443 fresh COVID-19 were detected in Odisha in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s tally further surged to 2,19,119.
Of the total fresh cases detected from 30 districts, 2017 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1426 are local contacts. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.
Khordha recorded highest 601 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (359) and Balasore (152).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 36,743. However, 1,81,481 patients have recovered in the state so far.
