35,000 Odisha students sit for All India Pre-Medical Test

Bhubaneswar, May 4:

About 35,000 students from Odisha are appearing at the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) which began at 10 AM on Sunday.

The three-hour Test, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), is held for shortlisting candidates for admissions to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)/Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programmes.

The Test is conducted in a multiple choice paper pattern consisting of 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology).

The candidates have the option to choose the medium of the language of the question paper- Hindi or English.

While counseling for successful candidates for the 15 percent all India quota of seats will be conducted by the Director General of Health Services (DGHS), the counseling for admission to seats under the control of other participating states, universities and institutions shall be conducted by their respective authorities.
