35,000 students of Odisha appear in AIPMT

About 35,000 students from Odisha appeared in the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) which began this morning.

The examination, which began at 10 AM would conclude at 1 PM.

The examination, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor in Dental Surgery (BDS) in government-run medical colleges and hospital and private medical colleges and hospital, is held at three centres in Bhubaneswar, Rourkela and Brahmapur in Odisha.

Sources in the CBSE said the results will be announced on or before June 5.

The CBSE will announce the ranks for the students. Students securing state ranks will be eligible for admission in any government or private medical college and hospital while those securing all India rank will be eligible for admission in top government and private medical colleges in the country.

Students securing state ranks will have to sign agreement as per the guidelines of the state government at the time of admission.
