Bhubaneswar: Odisha witnessed a spike of 3615 COVID-19 cases today, following which the tally mounted to 2,22,734, informed the Government.
Of the total fresh cases detected from 30 districts, 2118 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1497 are local contacts. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.
Khordha recorded highest 671 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (371) and Angul (188).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 36,122. However, 1,85,700 patients have recovered in the state so far.
Total 49,645 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 33,00,644 tests have been conducted in the state.
