38 from CRPF campus among 325 fresh COVID-19 cases in Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: As many as 38 persons from the CRPF campus in Bhubaneswar were among 325 new COVID-19 positive cases detected in the Odisha Capital today.

While 20 persons in the CRPF campus tested positive for the virus while being in quarantine, 18 others on the premises of the paramilitary force were found to be infected with the viral infection as local contacts. All the fresh infected persons in the CRPF campus were male.

Out of 325 fresh positive cases, 107 persons tested positive during the quarantine period whereas 218 were local contact cases, mentioned the data released by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

So far, 18592 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in the Odisha Capital. While the number of active cases stands at 4,074, a total of 68 COVID-19 patients succumbed to the virus.

Today as many as 384 COVID-19 patients recovered from the disease taking the recovery count to 14,436.
