38 more test COVID-19 positive in Bhubaneswar; Here’re details

Bhubaneswar: Another 38 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Bhubaneswar in last 24 hours, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today.

Out of 47 new cases reported from Khordha district, 38 cases belong to Bhubaneswar. Of fresh cases, 25 have been reported from home quarantines and remaining 13 are local contacts in the State capital.

Meanwhile, another 14 COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment have recovered from the disease in the city.

Following detection of new cases today, further contact tracing is underway. The primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and will be under active surveillance, the BMC said.

With this, the COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar surged to 258 with 127 active cases and 127 recovered cases. Three patients have died of the disease so far.
