4 killed, 2 injured in lightning strike in Odisha

Keonjhar/Balasore: At least four persons were killed and two others injured in lightning strike at separate places in Keonjhar and Balasore districts today.

As per sources, three persons were charred to death in lightning at Rampas and Inchol villages under Nandipada police station and  Sapua Sahi under Ramachandrapur police limits in Keonjhar district.

The three deceased have been identified as Ballabh Behera, Ganesh Jena and Purna Munda.

Besides, another person was killed while two others suffered injuries as lightning struck them while they were working in an agriculture land in Jaleswar area of Balasore district. The deceased has been identified as Kartik Mohanty of Gobarghata village. The injured were later admitted to hospital or treatment, sources said.
