4-YO baby among 35 dies of COVID-19 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A 4-year-old child among 35 persons became the victim of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in Odisha.

The baby boy of Koraput district died of the deadly disease on Friday while undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The COVID toll continues to rise in Odisha even after sharp decline in single-day positive cases in past three days.

As many as 35 people died of the deadly disease in last 24 hours in the State.

“Regret to inform the demise of thirty five numbers of Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” informed the State Health & Family Welfare Department today.

The new fatalities were reported from the districts of Angul (5), Kalahandi (4), Rayagada (4), Sundargarh (3), Khordha (3), Jharsuguda (3), Nabarangpur (3), Koraput (2), Boudh (2), Jagatsinghpur (2), Cuttack (1), Sambalpur (1), Malkangiri (1) and Sonepur (1).

With fresh deaths due to COVID, the toll surged to 2,686.

1.A 46 years old male of Angul district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

2.A 60 years old female of Angul district who was also suffering from Hypertension.

6.A 62 years old female of Boudh district.

7.A 40 years old male of Boudh district.

8.A 61 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Coronary Artery Disease.

9.A 78 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

10.A 71 years old female of Bhubaneswar.

11.A 65 years old female of Cuttack district.

12.A 44 years old male of Jagatsinghpur district who was also suffering from Bronchial Asthma.

13.A 63 years old male of Jagatsinghpur district.

14.A 44 years old male of Jharsuguda district.

15.A 32 years old male of Jharsuguda district.

16.A 45 years old male of Jharsuguda district.
