400 gm gold recovered from passenger’s body cavity at Bhubaneswar Airport

Bhubaneswar: Police today recovered 400 gram of gold from the body cavity of a passenger at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Odisha capital.

According to reports, the passenger namely A Jainulabdeen travelling to Chennai was frisked at Frisking Booth No. 3. As the indication of DFMD was showing high density in middle portion, he was frisked again with HHMD.

It was then confirmed that he was hiding something inside his cavity area. During questioning by the concerned officers, he confessed of carrying gold in body cavity.

Later, four pieces of rectangular-shaped gold worth around 20 lakh concealed inside body cavity were ejected. The passenger was deboarded and handed over to Customs officials for further necessary action.
