42 more die of COVID-19 in Odisha; toll nears 3,000

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 death toll is inching towards 3,000-mark in Odisha after 42 more persons succumbed to the deadly virus in last 24 hours.

“Regret to inform the demise of forty two numbers of Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” informed the State Health & Family Welfare Department today.

The fresh COVID fatalities were reported from 20 districts included — Angul (4), Bargarh (1), Boudh (3), Cuttack (4), Deogarh (3), Gajapati (2), Ganjam (1), Jagatsinghpur (2), Jajpur (1), Jharsuguda (3), Kalahandi (3), Kandhamal (1), Khordha (4), Koraput (1), Malkangiri (1), Mayurbhanj (2), Nuapada (1), Puri (1), Rayagada (2) and Sundargarh (2).

With this, the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 surged to 2,994 in Odisha.

1.A 44 years old female of Angul district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

2.A 70 years old male of Angul district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Chronic Kidney Disease.

3.A 85 years old male Angul district who was also suffering from Hypertension.

4.A 60 years old male of Angul district who was also suffering from Hypertension.

5.A 55 years old male of Baragarh district.

6.A 67 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & post Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting.

7.A 52 years old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Thyroid, Dyslipidemia & Hypothyroidism.

8.A 62 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

9.A 60 years old male of Bhubaneswar.

10.A 60 years old female of Boudh district.

11.A 35 years old male of Boudh district.

12.A 36 years old male of Boudh district.

13.A 57 years old female of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Cronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension & Dilated Cardiomyopathy.

14.A 56 years old male of Cuttack district.

15.A 45 years old male of Cuttack district.

16.A 74 years old male of Cuttack district.

17.A 64 years old male of Deogarh district who was also suffering from Cancer.
