45 inmates of juvenile home test COVID-19 positive in Odisha

Berhampur: As many as 45 juveniles lodged in Government Special Observation Home for Boys here have tested positive for COVID-19.

Sources said antigen test of 72 inmates of the juvenile home was conducted, of which 45 have tested positive for the deadly virus. All of them have been kept on isolation inside the facility and they are undergoing treatment.

On receiving information, District Child Protection Officer(DCPO) Subrat Sarangi reached the spot to take stock, jail sources said.

It is pertinent to mention here that juveniles from 12 districts are kept in the facility. Recently, 45 positive cases were reported from Berhampur Circle Jail.
