‘46.39% residents of Odisha’s Cuttack city developed antibodies’

Cuttack: As many as 46.39% residents in Cuttack city have developed antibodies, revealed a serological survey conducted by the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), Bhubaneswar. A total of 2,247 samples were collected for the survey.

Talking to media persons today, RMRC Director Sanghamitra Pati said 1,634 samples were collected from 25 wards whereas 640 samples were taken from vulnerable groups during the sero survey. Around 41.08% persons from 25 wards in the city and 56.48% people developed antibodies. Minimum 22% from ward no 16 and maximum 67% residents of ward no-46 have developed antibodies, Pati informed.

Cuttack Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ananya Das said the sero survey was conducted in the city from November 2 to 5. Five teams of RMRC conducted the survey in the city.

She hoped denizens of the city will adhere to the Covid guidelines during Dhanteras and Diwali like the way they did during Dussehra.
