Bhubaneswar: Odisha's COVID-19 caseload today further surged to 10,27,431 after 478 more persons tested positive for the virus in last 24 hours. The new infectees include 57 in the age group of 0-18 years, informed State Information & Public Relation (I&PR) Department.
Of the total cases detected from 21 districts, 281 are quarantine cases and 197 local contacts. Khordha district continued to record highest number of daily cases as 211 persons contracted the virus. Cuttack district reported 57 fresh cases.
As total 69,251 samples were tested yesterday, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) stood at 0.69%.
Meanwhile, seven COVID deaths were reported today taking the state's cumulative toll to 8,209.
