5-magnitude earthquake hits Taiwan

Beijing, April 30

A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted the sea area off the coast of Taidong county in Taiwan on Sunday morning, according to the measurement of the China Earthquake Networks Centre (CENC).

The epicentre was determined at 21.43 degrees north latitude and 121.80 degrees east longitude, Xinhua news agency reported. The quake struck at a depth of 90 km.(IANS)
