5 ‘Maoist associates’ arrested in Odisha

Redhakhol, June 16:

Police on Sunday arrested five persons from Redhakhol in Odisha’s Sambalpur district for allegedly working as ‘close associates’ of the Maoists operating in the area.

These men identified as Jayakrushna Dehury, Krushna Chandra Badi, Purushottam Behera, Ramani Chandra Pradhan and Sagar Pradhan were allegedly supplying medicines and clothes to the Sambalpur-Deogarh-Sundergarh (SDS) division of the outlawed CPI (Maoist), police sources said.

The five arrested menwere later forwarded to a local court the sources added.
