Odisha: 50-year-old man held for throwing acid on two minor girls

Bhadrak: District police today detained a 50-year-old man for allegedly throwing acid on two minor girls in Banta area.

The accused has been identified as Nandia of Kantapada village. He had allegedly thrown acid on two girl students of Bangarpadi High School when they were present near the educational institution.

Locals nabbed the wrongdoer when he was trying to flee the spot and handed him over to police. The victims have been admitted to the Banta hospital for treatment.

Police have started investigation to ascertain the reason for which he committed the offence.
