50k people to turn up for Odisha CM’s welcome; advisory issued for air passengers

Bhubaneswar: Anticipating huge gathering at Bhubaneswar airport to welcome Lifetime Achievement Awardee Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik tomorrow morning, the Commissionerate Police issued an advisory for air passengers.

The air passengers travelling to Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar, to board their flights during 8 am till 1 pm on September 6 are suggested to reach at least three hours prior to their schedule.

As many as 50,000 supporters of the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) are expected to crowd the airport to participate in grand welcome of Naveen Patnaik, who was conferred with the Capital Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award by former Chief Justice of India, Justice N.V. Ramana during a ceremony at India International Centre, New Delhi yesterday.

In view of possible crowd, total 30 platoons police force will be deployed at various places in Bhubaneswar to regulate the traffic in the city. Moreover, 100 senior police officers have been instructed to check security for the mega programme.
