527 new COVID-19 cases reported in Odisha; here’re district wise details

Bhubaneswar: As many as 527 persons in the state tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the state’s tally to 10,624, said Health and Family Welfare Department today.

Of the total fresh cases, 338 cases have been reported from different quarantine centres while 189 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said Health and Family Welfare department.

The cases have been reported from 26 districts: Angul (1), Balasore (26), Bargarh (1), Bhadrak (2), Balangir (21), Cuttack (17), Dhenkanal (1), Gajapati (3), Ganjam (215), Jagatsinghpur (4), Jajpur (25), Jharsuguda (4), Kendrapada (5), Keonjhar (7), Khordha (50), Koraput (6), Malkangiri(3), Mayurbhanj (10), Nabarangpur (3), Nayagarh (18), Nuapada (4), Puri (16),  Rayagada (1), Sambalpur (1), Sonepur (5)  and Sundargarh (78).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 3860. While 6703 patients have recovered in the state so far, 42 succumbed to the virus.

In the last 24 hours, 5918 COVID-19 samples were tested. So far 3,08, 698 tests have been conducted in the state.
