Islamabad, June 18:
At least 530 Sikh pilgrims were issued visa for Pakistan to attend an event to mark the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the eastern city of Lahore.

As per 1974 bilateral protocol between Islamabad and New Delhi, Pakistan High Commission in India has issued the visas from June 21 to 30, a statement said.
Sikh pilgrims, like every year, will gather in Lahore at the mausoleum of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the founder of the Sikh empire, was a former ruler of the united Punjab region under British colonial rule. (IANS)
