54 COVID-19 cases detected in Cuttack City

Cuttack: As many as 54 persons in Cuttack city (CMC area) tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. Total 57 cases were reported from the district.

With the fresh cases, the city’s tally surged to 452, including 219 active cases.

The fresh 54 cases include 41 home quarantine , 11 institutional quarantine and two local cases. The 11 institutional quarantine cases include a COVID Warrior of SCB Medical College and Hospital and eight patients and attendants of the hospital.

The two local cases include a 23-year-old female Covid Warrior from Thoria Sahi.

Active surveillance, contact tracing, and sanitization drive in the concerned areas are underway, said the CMC.

Currently, the number of active cases in the city stands at 219. However, 225 patients have recovered from the disease and eight succumbed to the virus.
