55-year-old man killed over wife’s extra-marital affair  

Sambalpur: A 55-year-old man was allegedly hacked to death by a youth as the former had been opposing his wife’s extra-marital affair with the latter at Satupali village under Chiplima police limits in Sambalpur district last night.

The deceased has been identified as Krushna Chandra Ghesara. His mutilated body was found on road near a rice mill, around 100 metres away from Satupali Chhak, this morning.

As per preliminary investigation, Krushna Chandra’s wife aged 45 had an extra-marital affair with the youth. Krushna Chandra, who was working as a security guard at the rice mill, had a war of words with his wife last evening when he came to know about the latter’s extra marital affair.

As per the daughter of the deceased, a youth used to visit her house in the absence of her father. Krushna Chandra’s brother lodged a police complaint in this regard, following which police detained the youth.

During interrogation, the youth confessed to the crime, sources added.
