Bhubaneswar: The new BJP Government today ordered for removal of 5T Charter boards in all High School Transformation (HST) schools of Odisha, a notification issued by OSEPA State Project Director and Mo School Member Secretary in this regard mentioned.
Acting on directives received from Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Principal Secretary and writing a letter to all District Education Officers (DEOs), the OSEPA State Project Director instructed to remove the 5T Charter boards with immediate effect.
Worth mentioning, the schools covered under the 5T HTS programme were intended to undergo major transformations in the shape of new smart classrooms, a well-developed e-library, a state-of-the-art laboratory-cum-interactive science centre, new sports equipment, and all other advanced amenities.
All smart classrooms were to be equipped with laptops, projectors, high-speed broadband connection, and 5.1 surround sound systems. Apart from infrastructure, the other focus of the project was to enhance teachers’ skills and build project ownership among the teaching community, alumni, and local communities.
