6-foot-long banded krait rescued from Omfed plant in Odisha

Balasore: The workers of an Omfed plant located in Remuna town of Balasore district were panicked a lot after spotting a six-foot-long banded krait on the factory premises today.

As per sources, some on-duty workers came across the giant reptile in the factory compound at around 11 am today. They immediately called up the snake helpline and notified about the incident.

Soon after, a member of the snake helpline, Shyamalendu Aditya, reached the spot and rescued the snake. After conducting few tests on the reptile to monitor its health conditions, he took it with him and later handed it over to the Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary .
