6 injured in bombing during group clash in Odisha’s Cuttack; 2 in critical condition shifted to SCBMCH

Banki: As many as six persons sustained grievous injuries today evening in an incident of bombing during a group clash that took place at Bheda Ramachandrapur village under Banki police limits in Cuttack district. The health condition of two of them is critical now, a doctor treating them said.

Identities of the injured persons have not been ascertained yet, a senior cop of Banki PS said.

The six injured were rescued by police with the help of some locals and were immediately admitted to a government-run health facility in Banki for treatment. The two in critical condition were later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH) in Cuttack after their condition deteriorated.

The reason why the clash was triggered between two groups has not been known. On being informed, a team of Banki police reached the village and launched a probe into the bombing incident.
