6 months after love marriage, woman found dead in Cuttack

Cuttack: The half-burnt body of a newly-wed woman was found from her house at Sipura village under Mahanga police station in Cuttack district today. The deceased has been identified as Suchitra Samal.

Sources said Suchitra was in love with one Uttam Jena and married him six month ago. Today, her half-burnt body was found at her in-law’s house. Family members of the deceased lodged a police complaint alleging that she has been charred to death by her in-laws.

Acting on the complaint, police have detained Suchitra’s husband and are interrogating him in this connection.
