Bayalis Mouza: A six-year-old girl was injured after being shot at reportedly by a seven-year-old boy with a gun meant to drive away monkeys in Raghunathpur village under Sadar block today.

The minor girl sustained injuries in her waist. She was admitted to a hospital in Bhubaneswar.

The girl’s father Shantanu Jena later lodged a complaint at Kandarpur police station alleging that the incident was a fall-out of past enmity.

Denying the charges, the minor boy’s family members said he accidentally pulled the trigger of the loaded gun causing injury to the minor girl.
