6-YO girl missing since 6 days in Odisha’s Koraput

Jeypore: A six-year-old girl of Taupadar village under Pottangi block in Koraput district  has gone missing since last six days.

However, a written complaint was lodged by the girl’s family members at Pottangi police station in this regard on November 24.

As per sources the minor girl, daughter of one Banguru Pangi,  was playing on the verandah of the house in the evening of November 21. However, she went missing after that. Soon after, her family members and relatives searched for her till late in the night, but in vain. The next day, they lodged a missing complaint at Pottangi police station.

Acting on the complaint, the cops registered a case under Section 363 of the IPC and began a search operation. Following preliminary investigation, the cops detain the father of the deceased for interrogation.

The cops suspect  that the 6-year-old girl might have died after being beaten by her father.
