60 more COVID-19 cases in Bhubaneswar; tally crosses 900-mark

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar surpassed 900-mark with 60 new infectees in last 24 hours.

Out of fresh cases, 40 are quarantine cases and 20 are local contacts, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today.

With this, the total number of confirmed cases reached 919 with 504 active cases in Bhubaneswar.

Meanwhile, the city registered 18 new recoveries in last 24 hours.

With this, the number of recovered cases rose to 403. The city registered 11 deaths due to COVID-19 so far.

Further contact tracing is still continuing. Primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and will be under active surveillance, the BMC tweeted after detection of fresh cases in the State capital.
