6599 new COVID-19 cases in Odisha; 18 districts report 3-digit fresh cases

Bhubaneswar: As many as 6599 persons in Odisha tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours . With this, the state’s total caseload surged to  41,4056.

Khordha district reported the highest fresh cases with 958 persons contracting the virus.  Nuapada  and Kalahandi recorded 551 and 518 cases, respectively.

Of the total fresh cases, 3827 are quarantine cases and remaining 2772 are local contact cases.

Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the state has surged to 49,075.
