7 held over IPL betting in Odisha’s Ganjam

Aska: Odisha police today arrested as many as seven persons in Ganjam district over their alleged involvement in betting during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match.

Cops have seized Rs 10 lakh and 18 mobile phones from their possession, reports said.

Acting on a tip-off about the betting, police raided a place at Biju Patnaik Chhak here and arrested the seven.

It may be recalled here that, three youths, including an engineering student, were arrested in connection with IPL betting at Berhampur in the district on April 12.
