Keonjhar: An elephant trampled a seven-year-old girl to death at Mundasahi under Champua Forest Range in Odisha's Keonjhar district early this morning.

Sini Munda, the deceased minor girl, was sleeping inside her house with her brother Ganesh Munda and sister Rani Munda when the pachyderm entered its trunk inside the house by breaking a portion of the wall.

The animal dragged Sini out of the house and crushed her to death on the spot. On the other hand, Ganesh and Rani sustained critical injuries as the wall of the house collapsed and fell on them. The two have been hospitalised.
