70 kg stale food destroyed at Cuttack Bali Jatra
Cuttack: As per the direction of the Food Safety Commissioner, the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) today conducted raids and destroyed over 70 kgs of stale food at various stalls put up at the Bali Yatra Ground here for the second consecutive day today.
The stale food including Thumka Puri, Dahibara Aludam, Chat and other non-vegetarian items available at different stalls were destroyed by the inspection team.

Food Safety Officer PK Pradhan said around three quintals of stale food have been destroyed during the raid so far. A joint team of the Health Department and CMC’s Food Safety Department has been pressed into service for the inspection.
The team will conduct the raid daily till the end of the 10-day festival.
